Common use of UNINTERRUPTED PATIENT CARE Clause in Contracts

UNINTERRUPTED PATIENT CARE. It is recognized that the Employer is engaged in a public service requiring continuous operation, and it is agreed that recognition of such obligation of continuous service is imposed upon both the Employer and the Union. Neither the Union nor its members, agents, representatives, employees or persons acting in concert with them shall incite, encourage, participate or in any way directly or indirectly aid others in any strike, sympathy strike, walkout, slowdown or other work stoppage of any nature whatsoever nor shall they engage in any picketing or other interference whatever with the efficient operation and conduct of the Employer’s business. In the event of any strike, sympathy strike walkout, slowdown or work stoppage or picketing, or a threat thereof, the Union and its officers will do everything within their power to end or avert same. The Employer shall not lock out its employees.
