Common use of Unexcused Absence Clause in Contracts

Unexcused Absence. ‌ Absence of an employee from duty including any absence for a single day or part of a day, which is not authorized by specific grant or leave of absence, or the use of a leave of absence for reasons other than for which it was approved, shall be deemed an unexcused absence without pay and subject to disciplinary action including discharge.
