Excused Absence. No later than the 8th consecutive day of a pupil’s absence, CONTRACTOR shall notify LEA of such absence. If CONTRACTOR fails to provide such notice by the 8th day of consecutive absence, CONTRACTOR shall not be compensated for services delivered during continuing absence after the 8th consecutive day of absence. The LEA shall not be responsible for payment for more than eight (8) cumulative days of excused absences in one semester unless a written time extension is granted by XXX. XXX shall not be responsible for payment for days of unexcused absences. All excused absences must be verified and a copy must be submitted to LEA with the monthly invoice. All documentation must be kept for at least five (5) years from the date of origination. Only the individuals listed below may verify the reason for absence:
Excused Absence a. Management may grant an eligible bargaining unit employee an excused absence from duty without loss of pay and without charge to a bargaining unit employee’s personal leave accounts as set forth in TSA policy.
Excused Absence. A. A unit member shall upon request be excused without loss of pay from classroom responsibilities for up to four (4) consecutive days following the death of a member of the unit member's immediate family in order to attend the funeral and/or matters related to the death.
Excused Absence. An “excused absence” includes the absence of a student for any of the reasons set forth in the paragraphs below. Within three (3) school days from when a student returns to school after an absence, he/she MUST present a written note to the homeroom teacher. The parent or guardian must sign and date the note and indicate the home phone number. Upon receipt of the required written excuse in the mandatory time frame, the absence will be recorded as a “legal absence” (the building principal may use discretion to extend the 3 day timeframe for submitting excuses for extenuating circumstances, on a case by case basis). The types of “legal absences” are as follows:
Excused Absence a. Excused absences may be granted to employees for participation in activities in accordance with Agency regulations or subordinate agreements.
Excused Absence. 1. Excused absence, occasioned by inability to reach the place of employment because of flood, storm, or other such acts of God, may be granted when, in the judgment of the superintendent, every reasonable effort has been made to anticipate such emergency and to make the necessary arrangements to be available for work. Such excused absence shall not be charged against sick leave time or vacation time.
Excused Absence. An excused absence is approved time off with or without pay for which no deduction is made from accumulated leave.
Excused Absence. Leave of Absence. Employees may with Company approval, be granted excused absence without pay for a good cause stated in a written request submitted at least one (1) week in advance of said absence except in emergency situations; however, employees must use any accrued time off down to a balance of forty (40) hours before taking any LOA. Continuous service credit and seniority shall accumulate during all leaves of absence described in this section unless otherwise noted.
Excused Absence. 31 50.1 Excused absence may be defined as absence from the District when an employee is 32 on District business or the professional interest of the District is being served. This 33 shall include the performance of duties not covered by this collective bargaining 34 agreement, but requested or contracted by the Shoreline School District. A substitute 35 will be provided when student supervision or services must be continued during the 36 employee’s absence.
Excused Absence. Any employee covered by this Agreement who has properly requested in writing and received written approval in advance from a Company manager for time off will be considered an excused absence. Excused absences do not count against the employee’s attendance record. Approved jury duty, military leaves, union leaves and FMLA leaves are also considered excused absences.
