Transfer of Accumulated Sick Leave. An employee upon initial employment, who had been an employee of a public school system in California for a period of one (1) calendar year or more and is otherwise eligible to do so shall be allowed to transfer their accumulated sick leave provided the sick leave is transferred within one (1) year of the date of the termination from the previous California public school employer.

In any case, where an 12 employee was terminated for cause, such a transfer may be made if agreed to 13 by the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources.
