Summer Student Clause Samples

Summer Student. The Corporation may, on occasion, employ students as casual help. A student, before hiring, shall provide the Corporation beyond reasonable doubt, that he or she intends to return to the next regular semester at College, University, or other institute of learning approved by the Department of Education. Summer students may be disciplined or discharged without recourse to the grievance procedure. Summer students will be paid for statutory holidays which occur during their work period with the Corporation.
Summer Student. A summer student shall mean a person who is employed during April 15 - September 30 and who is a student at a school, college, university, or other educational institution while being employed and who is intending to return to school at the end of the vacation period. Such employee shall be terminated no later than September 30th each year.
Summer Student. All Summer Student Employees shall be paid a normal working day's pay at their regular rate for each of the following Holidays, except as otherwise provided under Article Summer Student Employees called upon to work on any of the Holidays provided for under Article shall, in addition to the day's pay for which they are entitled to be paid, be paid at one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked with the guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours pay for four (4) hours work or less.

  • Summer School SUCCESS employees are not eligible for this provision. Employees engaged in teaching summer school shall be granted two summer school days of absence in a single term for either sick leave or emergency leave, or a combination of both, non-accumulative.

  • Summer Session A. All ASEs employed in the Summer Session shall receive the same general range adjustment as ASEs received in the preceding Fall term. B. The following articles apply to ASEs who are employed in the summer session: Recognition, Wages (range adjustment only), DCP, Travel, Health and Safety, Leaves, Holidays, Duration, Workspace and Instructional Support, Parking, Grievance and Arbitration, Waiver, Management and Academic Rights, No Strikes, Non-Discrimination, Union Access and Rights, Union Security, Discipline and Dismissal, Emergency Layoff, Employment Files and Evaluations, Definitions, Severability, Labor-Management Meetings, and Classifications. C. The remainder of the articles in the agreement does not apply to ASEs who are employed in the summer session. D. The topic of Summer Session, and effects of changes on terms and conditions of employment for ASEs employed in Summer Session, shall be reopened for bargaining commencing no later than January 2, 2001.

  • Student Teachers All student teachers shall be assigned to the sites only by the Executive Director of Human Resources. The building principal will be responsible for placement of the student teachers within his/her building. Student teachers shall be assigned to a teacher only with the teacher's consent. Supervising teachers shall be notified at least four (4) weeks prior to the arrival of the student teacher.

  • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.
