Staff Assisted Educational Leave. (i) Assisted Short-Term Educational Leave Defined as leave of sixteen (16) to ninety (90) work days, during which a Staff employee shall receive full pay. Staff employees shall be eligible for assisted short-term educational leave after completion of the equivalent of three (3) years of continuous employment with the Employer since their initial appointment, or after completion of up to the equivalent of two (2) years continuous employment with UFV since the end of their most recent short- term assisted educational leave period, or five (5) years since the end of their most recent long-term assisted education leave period. If the previous assisted short-term educational leave was less than the maximum, the waiting period for further eligibility shall be the appropriate fraction (to the nearest day) of two (2) years continuous employment with UFV, as calculated on a straight pro-rata basis.

  • Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.

  • Unpaid Educational Leave After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission shall be granted for leave of absence for a maximum of one (1) year without pay for study, without loss of accrued benefits.

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Educational Assistance To qualify for reimbursement, an employee must be a regular employee upon enrollment. To be approved, the courses described below must be related to the employee's present position or career development:

  • EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM The District’s Educational Assistance Program will be continued during the life of this Agreement. Employees who wish to enroll in job-related and promotion oriented courses, which will improve their job knowledge, and performance will be compensated by the District for expenses as follows:

  • Educational Assistance Plan The state shall provide up to six credit hours of tuition-free courses per term at a state university or community college to full-time employees on a space available basis as authorized by law.

  • Educational Assistants Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • Educational Leave of Absence Leaves of absence may be granted up to six (6) months under the above provisions only if the course would be beneficial to both the University and the employee.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, effective from date of ratification and sent by the Company to the following address: CAW Paid Education Leave Program, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx X0X 0X0.
