Common use of Sick Leave Status Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Status. (a) Employees who are on sick leave for a period in excess of three (3) days may be required to provide the Employer with a status report from a medical practitioner regarding their condition and expected date of return to work. In the event the leave exceeds ten (10) working days and the employee’s condition changes or the expected date of return to work is still unknown, the employee shall provide the Employer with a status report from a medical practitioner. The employee will continue to report every ten (10) working days until a reasonably accurate return to work date is established.
