Sick Leave Extending. Into the New Year Where sickness extends into a new calendar year, the amount of sick leave at full pay in the new year, for that illness, shall be the balance of what was left from the previous year’s allowance. When this is exhausted the employee will be on sick leave of absence without pay until going on income continuance. On return to duty in the new calendar year, the employee will become eligible, in the case of another period of illness, to the sick leave allotment set up on 01-01 of that year as determined by his/her length of service.
