Selection of Studies. The SSC will review and evaluate the scientific merit of proposed protocols to be managed and/or funded by CTNeT. Study concepts for CTNeT will be generated as follows: (a) in response to a request for proposal from CTNeT or CPRIT; (b) direct from a pharmaceutical company; or (c) unsolicited concepts submitted by researchers affiliated with a Research Site.

Selection of Studies. The Contractor shall review titles and abstracts of studies identified through searches to determine whether they meet the inclusion criteria. Abstracts that do not meet the inclusion criteria will be rejected. Two independent reviewers will assess full copies of papers that appear to meet the inclusion criteria. Uncertainties concerning the appropriateness of studies for inclusion in the review will be resolved through consultation with a third reviewer. Quality Assessment

Selection of Studies. After excluding duplicate records, two trainee clinical psychologist reviewers independently screened the title and abstract for inclusion to increase reliability. Once articles were identified, the full-text article was reviewed by the same two reviewers to confirm their inclusion. Reasons for excluding at this stage were recorded. Any discrepancies between the reviewers were resolved through discussion or through a third reviewer. See figure 1 for a PRISMA flowchart of the selected studies.
