Common use of Selection of Insurance Carriers Clause in Contracts

Selection of Insurance Carriers. The Employer reserves the right to select or change the insurance carriers providing the benefits stated in Section 16.1 and Section 16.2, to be a self-insurer, either wholly or partially, with respect to such benefits, and to choose the administrator of such insurance programs, provided the level of such benefits remains substantially the same. The Union shall be notified prior to any change.

The Employer agrees, whenever possible, to give the Union 30 days advance notification of a change in the insurance carriers providing the benefits set forth in this Agreement. A copy of the new insurance contract shall be notified prior given to any changethe Chief Xxxxxxx as soon as it is available.
