Assaults. An employee who is assaulted while in the performance of assigned duties shall promptly report the assault to the Employer. The Employer shall promptly investigate the incident and render such assistance as necessary under the circumstances, including reporting and cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
Assaults. Any case of assault upon a teacher arising out of the performance of the teacher’s professional responsibilities at school or school-sponsored functions shall be promptly reported to the Board or its designated representative. The Board shall provide the teacher with release time needed for the handling of the incident by law enforcement and judicial authorities.
Assaults. 10.4.1 Unit members shall immediately report cases of assault suffered by them in connection with their employment to their principal or other immediate supervisor, who shall immediately report the incident to the police and take appropriate action, as specified in the California Education and Penal Codes, to provide for unit member safety. Simultaneously, the unit member shall complete the "Employee Report of Assault" form. Such notification shall immediately be communicated to the Superintendent or designee(s). Upon receipt of such a report, the site administrator shall inform the unit member that the report will be forwarded to the Association.
Assaults. 1. The Board shall tolerate no verbal abuse or physical assault on Bargaining Unit Members and recognizes the right of a Bargaining Unit Member to protect his/her person or a student from assault. All assaults must be reported as soon as possible to the nearest administrator's office.
Assaults. 1. Employees are responsible for the control and discipline of students in such places, or at such times that the students may be under the jurisdiction of the Employee. Any assault upon an Employee shall be promptly reported to the Employee's immediate Supervisor. Employer recognizes its responsibility to give reasonable support and assistance to the Employees with respect to control, discipline and assaults.
Assaults. A. Any case of assault upon a Bargaining Unit Member while in the course of his or her employment shall be promptly reported to the Board. The Board shall provide reasonable assistance to any employee for their legal defense for actions arising out of their proper performance of duties.
Assaults. Any assault on a support personnel employee shall be promptly reported to the Employer. The school district shall promptly render reasonable assistance to the support personnel employee in connection with the handling of the incident by law enforcement authorities. This requirement of reasonable assistance shall not apply if the employee provoked the incident or otherwise contributed to its occurrence. When reasonable assistance is rendered, the employee shall fully cooperate with school administrators and law enforcement authorities in the investigation of the assault.
Assaults. 14.2.1 Teachers who are threatened or assaulted by students during the performance of their duties may exercise the amount of physical control necessary to protect themselves, property, or the health and safety of pupils. The site administrator shall be notified immediately, followed by a written report. The District shall take reasonable steps to alleviate the problem and prevent further occurrences.
Assaults. Employees who have been assaulted while on duty shall have the option to go home and still be paid for the remainder of their scheduled work day. The Company and the Union will meet on a monthly basis to provide updates, discuss training and/or refresher training needs for drivers as it applies to drivers assaults. The Company and the Union will also discuss driver assault procedures and research ways to better to protect drivers. Verbal notices of meetings shall be given to the Chief Xxxxxxx seventy-two hours in advance. Employees who have filed assault charges with TPD or any other law enforcement agencies will be allowed to attend court proceedings upon providing the Company with documentation providing the time and date of the proceedings. If the court proceedings are during the employee’s work hours, the employee shall not suffer any loss of pay. Should an employee have to attend court on their day off, the employee shall not be paid for time spent. A Company representative will accompany the employee to the court proceedings, if requested.
Assaults. Any case of assaults upon an employee shall be promptly reported to the Board. The Board will provide access to its legal counsel to advise the individual on his/her rights and obligations with respect to such assault and shall promptly render all reasonable assistance to the employee in connection with the handling of the incident by law enforcement and judicial authorities.
