Section 8.11.11.1.1. 36 The District shall have the right to assign fill-ins, standby duty, or vacated 37 routes/runs. The District shall have the right to assign drivers by reverse 38 seniority and the right to maintain efficiency when making assignments. This 39 provision does not preclude the District from implementing layoffs. 40 41 Sets a clear ceiling for unavoidable overtime for bus drivers. 42 Section 8.11.11.2. 43 It shall not be the policy of the Department to pay overtime rates on regular or extra 44 work assignments. Drivers are obligated to manage their forty (40) hour workweek 45 based on departmental time assignments.
