Section 5 Definitions. Whenever used in this Agreement, the terms ‘all Permanent Police Officers’, ‘employee’ and ‘member’ shall have the same meaning: all full - time, permanent, paid police officers of the Town of Jamestown who are on the active payroll whether due to active service, vacation, or paid sick leave. Employees who are otherwise on leave of absence, retired, or absent for active military service shall be entitled to none of the benefits of this Agreement except to the extent they are expressly granted eligibility for certain benefits, by express reference, in other sections of this Agreement or as may otherwise be provided for by law.
