Common use of Salary on Lateral Transfer Clause in Contracts

Salary on Lateral Transfer. A. An employee who transfers into the Association’s bargaining unit from another bargaining unit inside of the Agency or from another executive branch state Agency in the same salary range, will retain no less than their base salary rate and salary eligibility date. However, where the employee’s current base pay rate is below Step 1 of the Association’s bargaining unit base pay rate for the same salary range, the employee’s base pay rate will be moved to Step 1 of the same salary range. If an employee’s straight time pay rate is above the top step, the employee will be placed at the top step of the range.
