Running Instances of the Server Software. Your right to run instances of the server software depends on the option chosen to determine the number of software licenses required:

Running Instances of the Server Software. For each software license you assign to the server, you may run any number of instances of the server software in one physical or virtual OSE on the licensed server at a time.

Running Instances of the Server Software. For each virtual OSE which has been assigned the required number of licenses as provided in section 2.2, you have the right to run any number of instances of the software in that virtual OSE.
Running Instances of the Server Software. For each license you assign: • You may run on the licensed server, at any one time: o one instance of the server software in one physical operating system environment, and o one instance of the server software in one virtual operating system environment. • If you run an instance in the virtual operating system environment, the instance of the server software running in the physical operating system environment may be used only to: o run hardware virtualization software o provide hardware virtualization services o run software to manage and service operating system environments on the licensed server. Running Instances of the Server Software. You may use only one instance of the server software assigned to either one physical or virtual operating system environment. For purposes of this Express license grant each user or device connected to the server software is considered a Client Access License (CAL). You may connect any combination of up to five (5) users or devices to access the one instance of the server software in cases where a CAL is required (see Section c below for cases when a CAL is not required).
