Review by the Architect. 1. Submittals will be reviewed by the Architect for compliance with the Contract Documents. In reviewing the Submittal, the Architect will not verify dimensions and field conditions. Any such review does not relieve the Contractor, Subcontractor, manufacturer, fabricator or supplier from responsibility for any deficiency that may exist, or from any departures or deviations from the requirements of the Contract Documents, nor does it relieve them from responsibility for (i) errors of any sort in shop drawings, samples and product data, (ii) responsibility for proper fitting of the Work, or (iii) the necessity of furnishing any Work required by the Contract documents which may not be indicated on shop drawings when reviewed. The Contractor is solely responsible for any quantities that may be shown on the shop drawings. The Architect’s review of a specific item does not indicate approval of an assembly of which the item is a component. Final determination of the responsibilities contained within this section will be made by the Commission.

  • Review by the Association of Procurement Decisions The Procurement Plan shall set forth those contracts which shall be subject to the Association’s Prior Review. All other contracts shall be subject to Post Review by the Association.

  • Architect 3.1 The Architect shall represent the District during the Project and will observe the progress and quality of the Work on behalf of the District. Architect shall have the authority to act on behalf of District to the extent expressly provided in the Contract Documents and to the extent determined by District. Architect shall have authority to reject materials, workmanship, and/or the Work whenever rejection may be necessary, in Architect’s reasonable opinion, to ensure the proper execution of the Contract Documents.

  • Acceptance by the City It is expressly understood and agreed that all materials provided and/or work done by the Contractor shall be subject to inspection and acceptance by the City at its discretion, and that any progress inspections and approval by the City of any item or work shall not forfeit the right of the City to require the correction of faulty workmanship or material at any time during the course of the work, although previously approved by oversight. Nothing herein contained shall relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for proper construction and maintenance of the work, materials and equipment required under the terms of this Contract until all work has been completed and accepted by the City.

  • Engineer's Coordination with Owner Engineer shall be available for conferences with City so that Project can be designed with the full benefit of City's experience and knowledge of existing needs and facilities and be consistent with current policies and construction standards. City shall make available to Engineer all existing plans, maps, field notes, and other data in its possession relative to the Project. Engineer may show justification to City for changes in design from City standards due to the judgment of said Engineer of a cost savings to City and/or due to the surrounding topographic conditions. City shall make the final decision as to any changes after appropriate request by Engineer.
