Retraining Expenses. If within the Operative Time an Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury resulting in Permanent Total Disablement the Company shall indemnify the Insured for reasonable expenses necessarily incurred by the Insured in retraining the Insured Person for an alternative occupation up to a maximum period of 26 weeks in accordance with the Sum Insured shown in the Personal Accident Specification. Return to Residence or Hospital Expenses If within the Operative Time an Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury resulting in the Insured Person being physically incapacitated and unable to return to their Residence for a period in excess of 48 hours the Company shall indemnify the Insured for the benefit of the Insured Person for any reasonable additional costs necessarily incurred in returning the Insured Person and their Personal Property to their Residence or the nearest appropriate Hospital in accordance with the Sum Insured shown in the Personal Accident Specification.

Retraining Expenses. Where benefits are paid as a result of a permanent disability of a degree of at least 40% which prevents the Insured from pursuing their original occupation, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for any reasonable expense of training and retraining required for a new occupation, against the invoice for such expenses up to the limit specified in the table of benefits.

  • Retraining and Adjustment Period (1) Employees who assume a new position pursuant to this article will receive job orientation, including, where deemed appropriate by the Joint Committee, current in-service training, and shall be allowed a reasonable time to familiarize themselves with their new duties.

  • Retraining (a) Where a skill shortage is identified, the employer may offer a surplus employee retraining to meet that skill shortage with financial assistance up to the maintenance of full salary plus appropriate training expenses.
