Common use of Rest Pauses Clause in Contracts

Rest Pauses. Every employee shall be entitled to a rest pause of not less than 15 minutes' duration within each period of 4 ordinary hours of work at a time to be agreed between the employer and the employee. The employer may elect to combine the morning and afternoon rest breaks into one break of twenty (20) minutes to be taken at a time to be agreed between deemed by the employer and the employee. Notwithstanding the above, at the discretion of the employer and having regard to the employee's health and welfare as well as taking into account peak periods of work load, the period of the 2 rest pauses may be combined into one 30 minutes' rest pause, to be taken in the first part of the dayEmployer that does not interfere with workflow.

Rest Pauses. Every employee (a) All employees who work at least 4 hours on any day shall be entitled to a rest pause of not less than 15 10 minutes' duration within each period of 4 ordinary hours of work at a in the Employer's time to be agreed between the employer and the employee. An employee who works at least 4 ordinary hours shall be entitled to a paid 10 minute rest pause during their period of work. Such rest pauses shall be taken at such times as will not interfere with the continuity of work at a time to be agreed between the employer and the employee. Notwithstanding the above, at the discretion of the employer and having regard to the employee's health and welfare as well as taking into account peak periods of work load, the period of the 2 rest pauses may be combined into one 30 minutes' rest pause, to be taken in the first part of the daywhen continuity is necessary.

Notwithstanding the above, at the discretion of the employer and having regard to the employee's health and welfare as well as taking into account peak periods of work loadwhere continuity is necessary: However, the period of Employer may determine that the 2 rest pauses may be combined into one 30 minutes' 20 minute rest pause, to be taken in the first part of the ordinary working day: By agreement between the Employer and an employee the combined 20 minute rest pause may be taken in the second part of the ordinary working day However where an employee is engaged for 6 or less hours, the employee will only be entitled to one rest pause.
