Common use of Rehabilitation Benefit Clause in Contracts

Rehabilitation Benefit. If injury caused by an accident requires that the employee undergoes special training in order to be qualified to engage in a special occupation in which he/she would not have engaged except for such injury, the Insurance Company will pay the reasonable and necessary expense incurred for such training by the employee within 365 days of the date of the accident subject to a maximum, as the result of any one accident, as defined in the Letter of Understanding with the Insurance Carrier. Payment shall not be made for travelling or clothing expenses, nor for room, board or other ordinary living expenses. Benefits payable under this part shall be limited to only one policy in the event this benefit is contained in two or more policies insured to the Policyholder by the Insurance Company.
