Prohibition of Weapons and Assaultive Behavior. 15 To achieve the above, it is agreed that possession or use of weapons, explosives, firecrackers, illegal knives, 16 or other items capable of producing bodily harm shall be prohibited. Consistent with student due process and 17 other legal requirements, the normal penalty shall be expulsion for possession or use of any weapons or 18 dangerous devices, including but not limited to any weapon listed as a deadly weapon in RCW 9A.04.110 or 19 local ordinances. Likewise, when any item is used by the aggressor as a weapon, or which a victim reasonably 20 believes to be a weapon, the same sanctions will apply. Further, it is agreed that the normal penalty is 21 emergency expulsion and other appropriate sanctions for any student who commits a serious assault. Serious 22 assaultive behaviors are defined as either physical assaultive behavior (purposeful assaultive, aggressive 23 behavior, with intent to do serious harm), or verbal assaultive behavior (racial threat or threat to do serious 24 bodily physical harm, either student-to-student or student-to-staff). An emergency expulsion shall continue 25 if the Superintendent or designee has good and sufficient reason to believe the student’s presence poses an 26 immediate and continuing danger to an employee, a student, other students or school personnel, or an 27 immediate and continuing threat of substantial disruption of the class, subject, activity, or educational process 28 of the students’ school. In making that determination, the hearing officer shall solicit input from the staff and 29 administration of the building directly affected.

  • WORK STOPPAGES, SECONDARY BOYCOTTS, AND JURISDICTIONAL DISPUTES 16.1 There will be during the term of this Agreement and as to any work covered hereby, no slowdown, no stoppage of work, no strike and no lockout, it being the good faith and intention of the parties hereto that by the execution of this Agreement, industrial peace shall be brought about and maintained, that the parties shall cooperate to the end that work may be done efficiently and without interruption. In the case of any violation of this Agreement the Employer and the Union shall be notified immediately.

  • Prohibition on Political Activity with City Funds In accordance with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 12.G, Contractor may not participate in, support, or attempt to influence any political campaign for a candidate or for a ballot measure (collectively, “Political Activity”) in the performance of the services provided under this Agreement. Contractor agrees to comply with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 12.G and any implementing rules and regulations promulgated by the City’s Controller. The terms and provisions of Chapter 12.G are incorporated herein by this reference. In the event Contractor violates the provisions of this section, the City may, in addition to any other rights or remedies available hereunder, (i) terminate this Agreement, and (ii) prohibit Contractor from bidding on or receiving any new City contract for a period of two (2) years. The Controller will not consider Contractor’s use of profit as a violation of this section.
