Professional Development Days with Pay. (1) The parties recognize that ongoing professional development for support staff is essential for personal and institutional success. Staff shall be scheduled by mutual agreement up to five (5) professional development days during the course of the calendar year, during which period of time the support staff person will be given allowance to attend workshops, seminars, and courses to prepare for change and advancement and generally upgrade their skills and abilities. Such leave shall also be granted during scheduled College closures with the exception of the Christmas closure.
