Payment for Unused Sick Leave when Separated or Placed in Inactive Status. An employee who separates from the City between July 1 and October 1 and who has unused sick time in their bank shall be paid 50% of their total sick leave balance in their final paycheck. Payment of sick leave shall be paid at the employee’s base hourly rate of pay.

  • Leave for Family Illness In the case of illness of a member of an employee’s immediate family, meaning spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, or person to whom the employee is legal guardian when no one at home other than the employee can provide for the needs of the ill person, the employee may be granted, after notifying her immediate management supervisor, leave with pay up to five (5) working days per fiscal year, for the purpose of making such arrangements as are necessary to permit the employee’s return to work. The immediate management supervisor may require proof of the need for such leave as she considers necessary.

  • REGISTERED RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN 1. In this Article:

  • RETIREMENT PICK-UP 257. For the term of this Agreement, the CITY shall pick up the full amount of the employees’ contribution to retirement.

  • Returning to Work After a Period of Parental Leave (a) An employee will notify of their intention to return to work after a period of parental leave at least four weeks prior to the expiration of the leave.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.
