Overtime Premium and No Pyramiding. The overtime rate shall be time and one-half the employee's straight-time hourly rate. Overtime premium will not be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall other premiums be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which the overtime premium is paid. TIME OFF IN LIEU OF OVERTIME Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within sixty calendar days. REPORTING PAY Employees who report for any scheduled shift will be guaranteed least four hours of work, or if no work is available will be paid at least four hours except when work is not available due to conditions beyond the control of the Hospital. The reporting allowance outlined as herein shall not apply whenever an employee has received prior notice not to report for work. Part-time employees scheduled to work less than 7 hours per day will receive a pro-rated amount of reporting pay. CALL-BACK Where employees are called back to work after having completed a regular shift, and prior to the commencement of their next regular shift, they shall receive a minimum of four hours of work or four hours pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular hourly earnings. Superior provisions shall remain. STANDBY An employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby, outside the normal working hours for that particular employee, shall receive standby pay in the amount of per hour for all hours on standby. Standby pay shall, however, cease where an employee is called into work under Article above and works during the period of standby.
