Common use of Notice of Return Clause in Contracts

Notice of Return. i. When requesting a parental leave of absence of any duration, the employee must indicate the intended date of return. They must notify the Superintendent, in writing, at least four (4) weeks prior to the expiration of the leave of their intention to return to work. In the case of an extended parental leave of absence, employees must notify the Superintendent in writing by March 15 of their intention to return to service the following school year. An employee who fails to so notify the Superintendent in writing, or who does not xxxxxxx said written notice, but fails to so notify the Superintendent in writing, or who does not xxxxxxx said written notice, but fails to return to duty at the expiration of the leave without good reason, shall be deemed absent without leave, and the School Committee’s obligation to provide a position for said employee shall cease.
