Common use of Notice of Return Clause in Contracts

Notice of Return. 12.1.2.1 Unit members shall give the District timely notice of intention to return from a long-term leave of absence. A unit member who fails to return to work as scheduled upon the expiration of said leave shall be deemed to have abandoned employment with the District after three successive days of absence from work without authorization or notice, and after the District has made a reasonable effort to contact the unit member. Exceptions may be granted based on extenuating circumstances.
