Common use of Minimum Pay Clause in Contracts

Minimum Pay. Employees who work less than four (4) hours shall be paid for four (4) hours and if worked more than four (4) hours and less than eight (8) hours shall be paid for eight (8) hours. If an employee leaves or quits of his own volition, or an employee refuses to perform work as directed by the Employer, he/she shall be paid for actual time worked at applicable straight and overtime rates. If a new hire is put to work and judged by the Employer to be unsatisfactory, the new hire shall be paid only for the actual time worked.
