Common use of Minimum Hours of Work Clause in Contracts

Minimum Hours of Work. An employee who is not provided forty-eight (48) hours notice that a regularly scheduled work day has been cancelled shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at his regular rate of pay for such day. Similarly, an employee who is sent home from work before he has worked four (4) hours, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the rate of pay he would have earned if the work had been performed. No employee will be required to report for a shift of less than four (4) hours.
