Common use of Meal and Rest Breaks Clause in Contracts

Meal and Rest Breaks. 36.1 Day Workers working more than five ordinary hours each day will be entitled to a: paid rest break of 15 minutes in duration; and an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes in duration.

The afternoon rest break may be foregone by Agreement with the morning rest break increasing to 20 minutes in duration; and an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes in durationthis case only.
