MANAGEMENT RIGHTS Section A: Educational Policies. The Committee is a public body established under and with the powers provided by the statutes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As elected representatives of the citizens of Watertown, charged with the quality of education in, and the efficient and economical operation of the Watertown School System, it is acknowledged that the Committee has the final responsibility for establishing the educational policies of the public schools in Watertown. Section B: Plant and Personnel Management Nothing in the agreement shall be deemed to derogate or impair powers, rights, or duties conferred upon the Committee by the statutes of the Commonwealth or the Rules and Regulations of any pertinent agency of the Commonwealth. Said rights and powers include, but in no way are construed as limited to the complete right and authority to control, to supervise, and to manage the public schools; to determine the subjects to be taught; to assign to, direct to, evaluate, and generally to manage the staff of the school system; except where expressly limited by the terms of this agreement.

  • Interstate Educational Personnel Contracts 1. The designated state official of a party state may make 1 or more contracts on behalf of his state with 1 or more other party states providing for the acceptance of educational personnel. Any such contract for the period of its duration shall be applicable to and binding on the states whose designated state officials enter into it, and the subdivisions of those states, with the same force and effect as if incorporated in this agreement. A designated state official may enter into a contract pursuant to this article only with states in which he finds that there are programs of education, certification standards or other acceptable qualifications that assure preparation or qualification of educational personnel on a basis sufficiently comparable, even though not identical to that prevailing in his own state.

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act The Charter School is subject to all provisions of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. § 1232g. In the event the Charter School closes, it shall transmit all official student records in the manner prescribed by the State Board.

  • Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.

  • Extended Health Benefit Plan (a) All regular and probationary employees after three (3) months employment will be covered by a one hundred percent (100%) Extended Health Benefit Plan with the standard $100.00 deductible. The City will pay eighty percent (80%) of the costs and the twenty percent (20%) deduction for employees shall be made through payroll deductions. The extended health lifetime maximum will be $1,000,000.

  • Special Aggregation Rule Applicable to Relationship Managers For purposes of determining the aggregate balance or value of accounts held by a person to determine whether an account is a High Value Account, a Reporting Financial Institution shall also be required, in the case of any accounts that a relationship manager knows or has reason to know are directly or indirectly owned, controlled, or established (other than in a fiduciary capacity) by the same person, to aggregate all such accounts.

  • Unpaid Educational Leave After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission shall be granted for leave of absence for a maximum of one (1) year without pay for study, without loss of accrued benefits.

  • Group Health Benefit Plans, Carrier and Premiums 7.1.1 When enrolment and other requirements for group participation in various plans have been met, the Employer will sponsor such plans to the portion agreed upon and such sponsorship shall not exceed that which is authorized or accepted by the benefit agency.

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs.
