Common use of Makeup time Clause in Contracts

Makeup time. Employees may make up work time that is or would be lost as a result of authorized leave i f the makeup time is performed during the same workweek in which the work time is lost. An employee will only be permitted to make up work time i f the employee submits a signed written request and the employee's direct supervisor approves the makeup time in advance. Any employee who performs makeup work will not be paid overtime unless more than forty (40) hours is worked in the workweek that is not a result of make up work time.
