Levels of Grievance. Level One The grievant shall first discuss the grievance within fifteen (15) days from the time of discovery of the cause of the claim with his/her principal or immediate supervisor with the objective of resolving the matter informally. Level Two If the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Level One, the grievant, within seven (7) days, shall file a written grievance with the principal or immediate supervisor. The written grievance shall include a statement as to the occurrence or action complained of, the contract provision allegedly breached, and a statement of the remedy sought. The grievant may also notify the Council Grievance Committee. The principal or immediate supervisor shall communicate his/her decision in writing to the grievant within seven (7) days of receipt of the grievance. Level Three After receipt of the decision rendered by the immediate supervisor, the grievant may appeal in writing to the Administration (Superintendent) within seven (7) days. This appeal shall set forth the reasons the grievant considers the decision unacceptable, in addition to the writing requirements stated in Level Two.
