Leaves Beyond 10 Workdays. The District does not grant short term voluntary days off without pay except in unusual circumstances. Requests for long term (more than ten [10] workdays) leaves of absence in accordance with Sections C, D, H, and K of this article and the Annual Leave provisions of the respective Appendices, must be submitted in writing to Human Resources and be approved before any leave of absence begins except when the need for leave could not be anticipated.
