Layoff of NTT Faculty Members. The Board may lay off an NTT Faculty member on current or continuing appointment for any of the following reasons: in the event of financial exigency, a decline in program enrollment, a decrease in program funding, or program discontinuation or elimination. The Board shall implement good faith actions (e.g., attrition) prior to layoffs of NTT faculty.

Layoff of NTT Faculty Members. The Board may lay off an NTT faculty member on continuing appointment in the event of financial exigency, a decline in program enrollment, a decrease in program funding, or program discontinuation or elimination. The Board shall implement good faith actions (e.g., attrition) prior to layoffs of NTT Faculty. The Board shall not issue a layoff notice for the purpose of replacing NTT Faculty members with lower-salaried employees, including graduate assistants and student workers. The Board may consider temporarily assigning an NTT Faculty member, who is subject to layoff, to another open NTT position within a department outside the faculty member’s home department / school at the University. Such assignment shall not exceed one semester, is dependent upon whether the affected member is competent and qualified to fill the open position, and is subject to approval of a search waiver request to appoint the faculty member to the position. If there is an open position for which two or more NTT Faculty are competent and qualified, the seniority and tiebreaker provisions of this section shall apply.

  • EMPLOYER AND UNION SHALL ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Collective Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in the Articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off. The Employer agrees to provide the name, worksite phone number, and location of the new employee's xxxxxxx in the letter of hiring. Whenever the xxxxxxx is employed in the same work area as the new employee, the employee's immediate supervisor will introduce her to her xxxxxxx. The Employer agrees that a Union xxxxxxx will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for thirty (30) minutes sometime during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the employee's responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.

  • New Member Orientation The Employer will notify the Union of any newly represented temporary employees. The Union will be given the opportunity to have a Union representative speak with the newly represented temporary employees for not more than thirty (30) minutes to provide information about the Union and this Agreement.

  • New Members No person may be admitted as a member of the Company without the approval of the Member.

  • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.

  • Career Ladder Effective July 1, 2014, TALC and the District agreed to the 11 implementation of a Career Ladder for the advancement of instructional staff on the 12 Performance Salary Schedule. Elements of the Career Ladder are outlined and posted on 13 the District website and include detailed descriptions of Career Ladder levels and the 14 requirements for movement. All instructional staff hired on or after January 8, 2018 will 15 be placed on the Apprentice level of the Career Ladder.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • File Management and Record Retention relating to CRF Eligible Persons or Households Grantee must maintain a separate file for every applicant, Eligible Person, or Household, regardless of whether the request was approved or denied.

  • COUNTY EMPLOYEES No Arlington County employee may share in any part of this Contract or receive any benefit from the Contract that is not available to the general public.
