Common use of Informal Grievance Procedure Clause in Contracts

Informal Grievance Procedure. Before filing a formal grievance, an EMPLOYEE shall first attempt to resolve the grievance through informal discussion with his/her immediate supervisor. The EMPLOYEE shall initiate a request for the meeting within fifteen work days of the alleged action, incident or decision generating the grievance. Meetings shall be scheduled in advance, with the EMPLOYEE stating the nature of the grievance and that he/she is initiating the grievance procedure when the appointment is made. Every attempt will be made by the parties to settle the issue at this level.
