Hospital Central Agreement -March The parties agree to establish a Benefits Review Subcommittee which will include four representatives from the Union and four representatives from the Participating Hospitals to discuss the terms of the benefit plans (other than pensions) provided under the collective agreement and the administration of benefit plans with a view to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the plans. As part of that review, the Committee will be provided with copies of the plan texts and any other relevant information requested by the Committee that pertain to these benefit plans. The Hospital agrees that part-time nurses may pay, through payroll deductions, for full premium costs of the sponsored benefit program, provided that an individual Hospital’s systems can accommodate this. The sponsored benefit plan will provide the Hospital with an administrative rebate, if any. The Hospital will make no payroll deductions for such benefits in months in which the employee has insufficient earnings. In this circumstance, the employee is responsible for making the full payment to the sponsored benefit plan.
