Common use of Holiday Week - Overtime Clause in Contracts

Holiday Week - Overtime. Weekly overtime for employees shall commence after forty (40) straight-time hours of work. Work on the holiday up to eight (8) hours shall be included in the calculation of said forty (40) hours. When a holiday falls on an employee’s sixth (6th) day of work, he shall be paid time and one-half (1½ x) in addition to his holiday allowance for each hour worked.
