Common use of Holiday Pay Entitlement Clause in Contracts

Holiday Pay Entitlement. To be entitled to receive a paid holiday, an eligible supervisor must be in payroll status on the normal work day immediately preceding and the normal work day immediately following the holiday(s). Supervisors employed on an academic school year basis shall be eligible for the Christmas and New Year's holidays provided they are in payroll status on the last scheduled work day prior to the Christmas break and the first scheduled work day following the break. Any eligible supervisor mandatorily retired on a holiday or holiday weekend shall be entitled to be paid for the holiday(s).
