Common use of Group Grievance Clause in Contracts

Group Grievance. Where a number of Employees have similar grievances and each Employee would be entitled to grieve separately, they may present a group grievance identifying each Employee who is grieving to the Department Head or his/her designate or to Human Resources within ten (10) calendar days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance had occurred, or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the Employees. The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step Number 2 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

Group Grievance. Where a number of Employees have similar grievances and each Employee would be entitled to grieve separately, they may present a group grievance identifying each Employee who is grieving to the Department Head Manager or his/her designate or to Human Resources within ten fourteen (1014) calendar days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance had occurred, or ought reasonably to have come to the attention of the Employees. The time referred to in this Article may be extended by mutual of both parties.
