Grievance Definitions. A. Grievance: A grievance is a complaint by one or more employees of an alleged violation, misinterpretation or misapplication of the terms of this labor contract and shall include claims that an employee has been reduced in pay or position, suspended, removed, transferred or laid off in violation of provisions of this agreement. Municipal Civil Service Commission jurisdiction is limited by agreement of the parties to those matters specified in Ohio Revised Code, Section 4117.08(B). It shall have no jurisdiction in cases of reductions, suspensions, removals or lay-offs, nor in any matter except those specified in Ohio Revised Code, Section 4117.08(B).
