Common use of Extended Family Clause in Contracts

Extended Family. Employee’s parent, stepparent, xxxxxx parent, grandparent, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, child, grandchild, uncle, aunt, nephew, xxxxx, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, spouse/registered domestic partner or child of domestic partner. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1990. Requires employees with 50 employees in a 75 mile-radius to offer those employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave to care for a newborn or adopted child, or a seriously ill child, spouse, or parent, or the employee’s own serious illness. Flex Schedule. A scheduling plan that permits employees to choose their own working hours by scheduling around certain core hours in the middle of the day. Full-Time. Employees scheduled to work over half the minimum number of hours per week (usually 40 hours).
