Common use of Employment after Retiring Clause in Contracts

Employment after Retiring. A. An individual interested in employment with the Xxxx County Schools after retiring may apply for an available position for which he/she is qualified. “Retiring”, as described here, includes completion of the Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP) or retiring under the Florida Retirement System without participating in such program, or retiring from any other public or private employer. Individuals appointed after retiring are to be treated as new employees and are subject to the employment conditions described in the Contract for such employees with the exceptions set out below. Reemployed retirees will have their pay placement on the applicable pay range determined in accordance with the provisions of Section 16.02 A 1 and 2.
