Employer Recognized Holidays. a) The Employer recognizes the following as paid holidays: New Year's Day Civic Holiday Family Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Christmas Day Victoria Day Boxing Day* July 1st *defined as the first work day other than a Sunday which follows Christmas Day A floating holiday, seven (7) hours for full-time or for a part-timer filling a full-time position in excess of 6 months or four (4) hours for part-time as defined by 14.04 a) (i)) to be taken once (1) only in a calendar year at time mutually agreeable to the employee and Supervisor and which shall not be carried over from one year to the next. First year service employees starting after Labour Day, employees who have been on sick leave under the Income Protection Plan or on an unpaid leave of absence for more than eight (8) months of the calendar year, and employees who have not worked full-time for a minimum of four
