Common use of Employer Recognized Holidays Clause in Contracts

Employer Recognized Holidays. a) The Employer recognizes the following as paid holidays: New Year's Day Civic Holiday Family Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Christmas Day Victoria Day Boxing Day* July 1st *defined as the first work day other than a Sunday which follows Christmas Day A floating holiday, seven (7) hours for full-time or for a part-timer filling a full-time position in excess of 6 months or four (4) hours for part-time as defined by 14.04 a) (i)) to be taken once (1) only in a calendar year at time mutually agreeable to the employee and Supervisor and which shall not be carried over from one year to the next.
