Effect of Leave of Absence on Vacation Allowance. The vacation allowance of any employee shall be reduced for time absent without pay in excess of one (1) month in any calendar year. The reduction for absence in excess of one (1) month shall be one-twelfth (1/12) of the vacation allowance to the nearest half-day for each excess month or portion of a month greater than one-half (½).
