Common use of DUES SHOP AND DEDUCTIONS Clause in Contracts

DUES SHOP AND DEDUCTIONS. 2.01 All employees of the Company covered by this Agreement who are members of the Union in good standing on the execution date of this Agreement shall, as a condition of employment, remain in good standing in the Union. All employees who are not members of the Union may or may not become members of the Union, but must pay the equivalent of union dues monthly as a condition of employment, commencing not later than thirty (30) days after the signing of this Agreement. All new employees may or may not become members of the Union, but must pay to the Union the equivalent of union dues monthly, commencing not later than thirty (30) days after being hired on by the Company.
