Common use of Court Attendance Clause in Contracts

Court Attendance. If any employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, and is unable to obtain permission from the court of law to excuse him or herself from serving as a juror, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law as a witness, or is required to attend a coroner’s inquest in connection with a case concerning their employment, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of necessary absence from work due to such attendance, provided that the employee:
