The Parties recognize the importance of regional and multilateral initiatives to prevent and combat corruption, including bribery, in international trade and investment. The Parties shall work jointly to encourage and support appropriate initiatives in relevant international fora. 2. The Parties reaffirm their existing rights and obligations under the 1996 Inter- American Convention Against Corruption and shall work toward the implementation of measures to prevent and combat corruption consistent with the 2003 United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
