Your call will be taken by the office staff (or the answering service after hours) and will usually be forwarded to your provider’s voice mail. Providers do check their voice mail and make every effort to return your call on the same day you make it, with the exception of weekends and holidays. If you are difficult to reach, please leave information about times when you will be available. In emergencies, if the office or the answering service is unable to reach your doctor, the provider on call will contact you. Generally, if your provider will be unavailable for an extended time, you will be provided with the name of a colleague to contact, if necessary.
