Clipping Point Sample Clauses

Clipping Point. The clipping point means the range where the output level changes the same amount with respect to the changes in photographic exposure. At Sekonic, the range from the Middle Tone in the highlight direction is called the "clipping point (+)", and the range in the shadow direction is called "clipping point (-)" . You can set 0 EV to +7 EV for clipping point (+) and -7 EV to 0 EV for clipping point (-). The setting range (level) should be set in accordance with the specifications of the digital camera you are using and what type of images you are trying to achieve. Sekonic uses the ranges of 225 to 235 for clipping point (+) and 30 to 40 for clipping point (-) as a guide. If you feel that there is a difference between the measured data and the setting, you can adjust it to the appropriate value.
