Charitable Purposes. For purposes of this trust agreement ------------------- and any reformations hereto, the term "charitable purposes" shall mean, and the term "charitable purpose" shall mean any one of, such religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes, the prevention of cruelty to children or animals, and the distribution of property to or for the use of any State, any possession of the United States, or any political subdivision of any of the foregoing, or the United States or the District of Columbia, for exclusively public purposes, all as (a) are at such time described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and (b) are of such character that contributions for such purposes are deductible for income, gift and estate tax purposes under the United States internal revenue laws in force and effect at such time.

As a constituent part of Sussex East Area Quaker Meeting (SEAQM), Lewes Local Quaker Meeting is subject to the Constitution of the SEAQM Charitable Incorporated Organisation SEAQM) Meeting. 5.2 In interpreting the terms of this Deed:
(a) The Purposes in clause 5.1 shall take precedence.
(b) All other purposes shall be pursued to further the Purposes.
Charitable Purposes. This is as defined in English law under section 2 of the Charities Act 2011 (as amended or superseded).
Charitable Purposes. This corporation is organized and operated exclusively for nonprofit purposes as authorized by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Any use of funds inconsistent with these purposes or IYF's tax-exempt purposes or duties may result in IYF's delay or termination of further disbursements of Grant Agreement funds.
