Common use of Certificate of Illness Clause in Contracts

Certificate of Illness. ‌ Physician certificates may be required by the County when there is an absence in excess of three (3) consecutive days or whenever there is reason to believe that sick leave is being abused or the absence is questionable. An employee may be required to be examined by a physician selected by the County for verification purposes. In the event of family/personal medical leave, the employee will complete the appropriate authorization form supplied by Human Resources in accordance with County policy.
